Donnarumma Gets Good Signal for AC Milan in the New Season

Milan - Gianluigi Donnarumma gives a good signal regarding the performance of AC Milan next season. The quality and experience of the portiere will thicken the confidence of the retainer of AC Milan.

AC Milan coach Vincenzo Montella can breathe a sigh of relief after Gianluigi Donnarumma extended the contract with I Rossoneri. The 18-year-old goalkeeper has signed a new contract with AC Milan until June 2021.

This bodes well for Montella who is building a new era at AC Milan. Previously, Donnarumma rejected a contract offer from the Rossoneri management.

European giants like Real Madrid, Juventus, to Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) want to take advantage of an uncertain situation in Milan. They want to get Donnarumma services.

"This is a very long soap opera, but the most important thing is the end result, now it needs support to be able to focus," said Montella, quoted from Football Italia.

"I am happy and think that AC Milan is the right choice for him, Donnarumma is like my own son," added the former Fiorentina coach.

In the 2016/17 Serie A season, Donnarumma is AC Milan's mainstay goalkeeper. He plays in 38 games, his position is irreplaceable. He did 12 clean sheets for AC Milan.

Donnarumma recorded 135 rescues under AC Milan. The Castellammare-born goalkeeper at Stabia, also thwarted two opponent's penalty executions.

Donnarumma toughness under the crossbar makes it predictable would be the successor to Gianluigi Buffon as the main goalkeeper of the Italian national team.
